About SONAX
Dating back to as early as 1905, SONAX's brand history started off when the great grandfather of the now owner had extracted siliceous earth which is an extremely fine mineral and was used in many polishes. Just after the war he developed a silver polish and started to market it under the name "Sona". While it was successful it had limited market opportunity so they pursued the idea of creating a car polish to go along with the silver polish. This warranted the name change as you see it today from "Sona" to "Sonax" as the "X" signifies wax which was found in all of their car polishes. Today Sonax is represented in over 80 countries worldwide and continues to specialize in a wide range of products with a responsibility to the environment.
